Here we are in Gaudy´s, Ronald´s, Lewis´ home town!. Its wonderful. We got a small bus here from Guanara, going over spectacular mountains (or course, me being able to sleep anywhere I fell asleep during the best bit apparently), and the descending into Merida. The journey took around 5 hours, and Rokil and Gaudy had booked a hotel for us so we went straight there.
Yesterday, we had arranged with them that we wouldn't be seeing them until the evening as they had a christening to go to, but when we rang them in the morning, Rokil said that he would come and pick us up from the hotel as we were invited. It was really nice seeing them both again, and at the christening party we met a brother and a sister of Gaudy, who were really sweet. We sat in the garden of the house catching up with everything. Gaudy is doing well, she is fine and happy with being pregnant and they will be coming back to Denmark for about a month in September.
In the early evening we went to see Gaudy´s family in their home. She has 9 brothers and sisters and they all live in the same house (apart from Rokil and Gaudy). The street that they live on is so sweet, everyone knows everyone else, kids play out on the street, and its a really cozy atmosphere there. We were welcomed into their home and sat around laughing at the sisters that had gone out partying all night!.
Today we have been in the back of Rokils jeep, looking for building materials for their apartment that they are building. I managed to fall asleep again (I think its the motion of cars that makes me sleep), and got really burnt in the sun!.
Love you all loads.
