Luxor. How to live like kings in the Valley of them

We woke this morning and were met by the rep for the cruise boat and took us there.
Cooo eeeyyy its flash.
As we approached the boat and entered the lobby we both got a little quite and overwhelmed.
We were shown to our swish bedroom by the bell boy and had to keep our mouths shut until he left. When he did we burst out with amazement. Very posh, very plush, huge big window that takes up the whole of one wall, and we are quite high up too (3rd floor) which is great for views. We quickly emptied out small bags as our guide said that it was a good idea to stock up on water and beer as it was expensive on the boat (good guide!).
He also gave us the use of his minibus and driver to go to the Valley of the kings (for a fee of course), by then it was close to mid day so we decided that we would only do the Valley of the kings (there is more to see on the west bank) as it was getting so hot.
We were very silly. We did not read any guide books on the Valley of the kings in depth before we got there, so we had no idea which temples were worth seeing. We looked at 3 quite interesting ones, some with big tombs in, some with amazingly preserved decorations and all with amazing hieroglyphics covering every available space. We wanted to see more, so found an English couple who told us their 3 best (they have been coming for 3 years so I guess they should know) and tried to get into one .... But then we realised that you can only see 3 tombs on one ticket, so we just left. Boo. If it had been earlier in the day, I would've considered going back down to the main gate and getting another ticket, but as it was so so hot, we gave up and got back into the air con minibus!.

Back onto the boat again after a little shopping and had a massive four course lunch before jumping into the pool and getting some sun.
Tonight we are just planning on relaxing in the room, we have satellite TV and we don't even have that at home so we can completely catch up with news and movies.
