Edfu. Too lazy to get up

This morning I woke, up early enough to go on the trip to the temple at Edfu with everybody else..... but the thought of eating breakfast in bed over took that idea, so called the restaurant and they brought a huge selection of goodies up for us and then we fell back asleep again. I feel bad for not going, but I don't know anything about the temple and I'm not very interested either. I guess if I was, I would not be on a cruise I would be taking my time at each place and not with a group!.

Its been such a hot day today. After breakfast in bed I watched the Nile slide by when we had set off again after everyone came back from the temple, and took a few photos. its really blissful but everytime we pass another cruise boat (and there are a lot of them) our horn would blast loudly and the other boat would return it. On the river banks all the way down people are swimming, fishing, farming, and basically living. How strange to think that to them its like living on a busy road. Instead of the constant blaring of horns the you get in Cairo, they have boat horns that disturb their peace and tranquility.

At 1600 today we stopped of at another temple, and this time, as it was in the afternoon, we decided that we would join everyone else and go and have a look. Caroline and Johns guide took us with him and it was really interesting. Its a semi demolished temple and was really interesting to see, especially the old old old calendar in hieroglyphics. Amazing!.

I'm sitting out on deck writing this, surrounded by all the Germans. The temperatures wonderful. We are slowly docking in Aswan and I have my back to the city, looking over at some kind of fort. Its lit up and beautiful. The only bad thing is the music that they are playing. Boyzone and Celine... can they not put any thing more appropriate on?.

I cant believe this is the last night. The Yorkshires are going back to Cairo again on the boat and despite the fact that I have never been this relaxed I've been in ages, I would not be able to do that I don't think.
I would if I was going further, but not back again!.
