Here we are in the sun HOOORAAY!
We are in the south west area of Lithuania now, we got here yesterday afternoon after a long ish bus journey from Riga.
Our last day in Riga was spent shopping, I needed to update my wardrobe a little, and went on a search round the city for good shops. I found a few things, but then decided that it would be better here, in Lithuania (its cheaper and they have better taste!).
We spent the day wondering round the city, then a quiet evening in the hostel, we are staying right near the bus station (which is handy) and this time we have a double room, so we had a great nights sleep last night, without other people in the room coming in at different times and making all sorts of different noises!.
Today we went over by ferry to the split where we followed the crowds and went onto the beach. Bliss, pure white sand, that goes on for miles and COLD COLD COLD COLD water.
We got so much sun, that we are quite red (Maurice is worse than me..He's purple!).
We've just been into the supermarket and I forgot one thing that I was really excited about before we got here.... Chocolate!. I went to Julia's party (Lithuanian friend in Denmark) a couple of months ago and she had Lithuanian chocolates there. I loved them, but the vodka that we were drinking that night made me forget about them until today! (I will try to bring some back for you Julia, but I'd better see you quick or I will eat them all!).
We are off back to the split again tomorrow, but this time all the way down to Nida, to get even more sun.
Love you all
